The Mission of our organization is to provide quality nature based eduction to our community. 
As a 501c(3) we have a board of directors composed of volunteers to help support our mission by providing financial oversight and ensuring legal and ethical compliance.

Meet our board

Myriha Velez, Secretary
Myriha has been a Monarch parent since 2022 and currently has two children enrolled in the program. Her love and dedication to the school is apparent in her commitment to her role on the board. Parents bring invaluable insight and we are grateful to have her serving on the board of directors. The Secretary ensures meeting minutes are accurate and correctly filed and serves as the record keeper for the organizations documents.

Megan Clow, Treasurer
Megan has a strong background in Business Finance, is heavily involved in a local community college's Early Childhood Education program, and has a deep personal commitment to nature-based learning—having involvement in other nature-based educational programs. The treasurer evaluates the organizations budget, employee salaries, and spending for upcoming projects.

Alyssa Paterson, Ex Officio
To represent the preschool and bridge the gap between the board and daily preschool operations, the school administrator serves on the board in a non-voting capacity. The school administrator is able to provide details regarding enrollment, school programs, employees and upcoming goals and projects.

Although the board is lawful as is, the board is currently looking for a board President. We work closely with local Early Childhood Development programs, community colleges and the school district to find individuals with a passion for education and unique experience to volunteer on the board of Directors.
